Channels
Channels connect your MuleRun agent to instant-messaging apps. Once a channel is linked, you can DM or @-mention the bot in your chat app to run tasks, and results come straight back into the conversation — easy to forward to a teammate. Channels are also one of the delivery targets for Scheduled Tasks.
Supported Channels
On MuleRun Computer you can connect:
- Telegram
- Discord
- Feishu (Lark)
Other channels can be attempted by asking the agent, though a smooth experience isn't guaranteed.
How to Connect
There is no separate settings panel — channels are connected by talking to the agent in Computer Chat. Just say something like "help me connect a Telegram bot" or "hook up Feishu," and the agent walks you through the steps interactively (for example, getting a bot token and choosing which chat or group to connect). No restart needed.
Once connected:
- You can chat with this Computer's agent directly from the IM app.
- The channel appears in the Scheduled Tasks Send to options, so scheduled results can be pushed there.
Each channel has its own independent context (they don't bleed into each other), but they all share the same Computer's workspace files.
Receiving Results
- Tasks you trigger from a channel reply in the same chat window you messaged from.
- Scheduled task results are delivered to whatever you set as Send to — then a tap forwards them to a teammate or group.
Credits
Channels themselves are not billed. Tasks triggered through a channel consume Credits based on actual usage, the same as any other agent task.
Common Questions
How do I connect Telegram / Feishu? In Computer Chat, tell the agent "connect a Telegram / Feishu bot" and it will guide you. Currently supported: Telegram, Discord, Feishu, WeChat, WhatsApp — there's no standalone config page.
A newly added channel isn't responding yet. On the Computer page, click the wrench icon and run Quick Fix to restart the gateway, then try again.
Where do channel-triggered results go? By default, back to the chat window you messaged from. For scheduled tasks, results follow the task's Send to setting.
